After 12 years of serving this community as a small business, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to close Advantage Mental Health. This decision is deeply personal for us. Advantage Mental Health has never been just a business; it has been a place built on trust, compassion, and meaningful relationships with the patients and families we have had the privilege to care for.
We know this news may feel upsetting, stressful, or unexpected, and we want you to know that we care deeply about you and your continued mental health care. We are truly grateful for the trust you have placed in us over the years, and we are committed to helping make this transition as smooth and supported as possible.
This decision was made after much consideration and many difficult conversations. Like many small businesses in healthcare, we have been affected by the changing landscape of mental health treatment, including the growth of online platforms that accept insurance. Unfortunately, Advantage Mental Health is no longer sustainable in the current financial climate.
We understand that finding a new psychiatric provider can feel overwhelming, and we are here to help you navigate this change. Nikki and Suzi are assisting patients with provider options, while Cathi, Jennifer, and Dr. Rizzo are focusing on making sure medication needs are addressed during final appointment(s).
- All medication management appointments will end on October 9, 2026. Injection services will end on October 7, 2026.
- After October 9, 2026, we can prescribe medications through December 31, 2026, for refill purposes only. Due to federal regulations, some medications may not be eligible for refills beyond a certain date.
To help establish care with another provider, please contact one of the following as soon as possible:
- A provider on a list we can email to you.
- A provider on your insurance panel. You can call the number on the back of your insurance card or visit your insurance company’s website.
- Your primary care provider, who may be able to prescribe your medication during this transition.
Some providers may not have appointments available for several months, so please schedule an appointment as soon as possible, even if the first available appointment is later in the year. While we may be able to provide refills through the end of December depending on the medication and applicable regulations, we do not want you to experience a gap in care. Booking an appointment now is the best way to protect your continuity of treatment. You can always cancel later if you find a better option.
Please do not delay. Call today and schedule an appointment with a new provider.
Once you have scheduled with a new provider please contact us so you can sign a consent form that will allow us to communicate with them and support your transition of care.
If you have questions, please call us at 727-600-8093 or email us at nhervey@advantagementalhealth.com. We’re here to help.
