What Our Patients Are Saying
I think the fact that this business has zero reviews really speaks volumes about the enormous stigma surrounding mental health, and it’s a real shame because I would recommend the professionals at Advantage Mental Health to anyone who needs help with anxiety, depression, addiction, or anything remotely related.
I first came to this office in May 2015 in a very, very bad way. I don’t think I need to explain further about the state of mind I was in. I saw Dr. Obregon and after taking my personal and medical history he provided me with a diagnosis and started me on medication, all the while reassuring me that what I was going through was highly treatable and that I would be ok.
Shortly after I switched to Lisa Ramos because of her more flexible availability; she is a psychiatric nurse (who in my opinion is just as knowledgeable as the doctors) and she’s fantastic. She truly cares about you, wants you to get well, and is 100% dedicated and determined to get you on the right track. It took some trial and error but I’ve been on a combination of medication for several months that has truly transformed my life thanks to her knowledge.
I’ve also spoken to Dr. Hervey over the phone (very helpful and reassuring) as well as Carrie Lynn, a nurse on staff who can answer any medical questions if your doctor is unavailable. David and Nikki man the front desk and both are delightful. They always offer water and coffee and snacks and make you feel welcome and comfortable.
I felt safe, heard, and valued with everyone I encountered in this office. They truly saved my life and I recommend them with my whole heart. If you’re struggling, reach out and ask for help. It’s out there, you just have to take the first step.

Advantage Mental Health Center really cares about patients. From the time someone answer the phone throughout your appointment you are treated with courtesy, respect and professionalism. They have private waiting rooms with an HDTV, mini-fridge and snacks. The receptionist even served me tea on a tray. I have been to many psychiatric clinics, most seem in a rush to get you in and out like a cattle call. Not here. They take their time and make you feel comfortable. My psychiatrist, Dr. Hervey, put me at ease and made me feel very comfortable. After 10 years of trying various doctors, he finally got my diagnosis right. Stopped six of my medications and prescribed something that really worked! He really knows what he is doing. Wish I had found them ten years ago. They don’t take insurance for appointments but got my prescription pre-approved through my insurance company and filled out a form so my insurance company would cover most of the cost of my appointments. This is the first mental health clinic I have been to where I felt they really cared more about getting me better rather than collecting money and throwing more drugs at me. I would recommend them to anyone who needs help.

Lisa Ramos is a down-to-earth, knowledgeable, insightful Nurse Practitioner. She has a way of making you feel comfortable while at the same time making an appropriate analysis of your needs.

Today was my first visit and I could not say how thrilled I am. The staff are so helpful and kind. It was very homey, yet extremely professional. I’ve looked for so long for a good place to aid me with my panic disorder with agoraphobia. Not only with medication, but beyond. This is the place I’ve been looking for. Lisa Ramos-Archbold, ARNP-C is wonderful and a great listener. She is kind and empathetic. I must say I was very nervous, but my fears have been laid to rest. If you’re looking for a good place to help you, this is the place. These people actually care. Thank you to each and every one of you! One less stress on my soul is a great thing.

I have been going here since June of 2016, after seeing a handful of doctors and prescribers who treated me like a file rather than a person. After a complete lack of empathy and understanding in this field, I set up an appointment with Lisa Ramos. It has changed my life, literally. Everyone that works here really does care. If you’re not drug seeking, you will have no problems getting your prescriptions filled and refilled. There is really good communication through the office from reception to the doctors and therapists, and everyone works as a team. Lisa is very caring and will treat you like a human (not all prescribers act like this) and the staff at the front of the house is super nice and accommodating. They will even fill out your insurance forms if it applies. Danielle Thomassy is awesome. I have seen several therapists, and she’s the only one with whom I have made any progress. I highly recommend this place. I literally look forward to my sessions with Danielle.

I have to say I was most impressed with the professionalism and compassion that the group displayed. Lisa Ramos has been a great support along with Dr. Obergon and the rest of the staff. Always greeted with a smile and attended to with the utmost respect with discretion towards the matter (I feel). Caring people in a great environment!

Awesome staff extremely accommodating with scheduling and finding appointments around my schedule. So much easier than my previous doctor. Great job!!
