Laura Anne Pasker, LMHC

Laura Anne Pasker is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) with a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.  She has  over 14 years of mental health experience working with individuals, couples and families.  Laura believes in partnering with you during therapy – building trust and developing treatment goals as you work toward your journey of self-discovery.

 Laura has specialized training in mindfulness, DBT skills, motivational interviewing, emotional coaching, and trauma based approaches such as EMDR.

 EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.  Using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference.  EMDR therapy shows that the mind can heal from psychological trauma much as the body recovers from physical trauma. 

 Laura’s wealth of experience includes serving a clinical director of an in-patient substance abuse treatment center; as coordinator of crisis services, supervisor, and intake specialist for PEMHS; and as an owner/therapist of a local counseling center in the Clearwater area.
